Cleveland Botanical Garden’s Orchid Mania opens January 28

Cleveland Botanical Garden celebrates one of the world's most exotic and beautiful flowers at the 14th annual Orchid Mania show, opening Saturday, January 28, and running through Sunday, March 5.  This year's show will evoke the beauty and mystery of Hanging Gardens, which have stirred the imagination since ancient times. Thousands of orchid flowers in every shape, size, scent and color will hang gracefully in the halls and glasshouses of the Botanical Garden, creating exotic and alluring encounters to warm your winter.

ORCHID MANIA HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:
Fashion Meets the Botanicals

Orchid Mania will include 12 botanically-inspired dress designs developed exclusively for the show by students from the Kent State University Fashion School.

Orchids After Dark
The Botanical Garden is open until 9pm Wednesday evenings for guests to mingle after hours among the thousands of blooming orchids and sip themed cocktails purchased from the Garden Cafe.

Ask the Orchid Doctor
On Saturdays, Feb 4, 11 and 25, from 1 ‐ 2 pm during Orchid Mania, experts will be on hand to help with questions about raising orchids in the home. Bring in your orchid for a diagnosis.

Greater Cleveland Orchid Society Show and Sale
Saturday and Sunday, February 18 ‐ 19
Noon ‐ 5pm
The Greater Cleveland Orchid Society, the oldest affiliate of the American Orchid Society, hosts the annual show and sale. Special workshops and tours are scheduled throughout both days.

The Garden of Good and Evil Benefit: Through the Looking Glass
Friday, February 10
7pm - Midnight
Step Through the Looking and you’ll be transported from the wintry streets of Cleveland to a fantastical and madcap world at The Garden of Good & Evil! Expect the unexpected in this curious and mysterious realm where up is down, black is white, and day is night. Guests will enjoy magical potions, decadent foods, eccentric characters, playful rhythms and larger-than-life beats – all in the beguiling setting of Orchid Mania. All proceeds benefit our mission which includes educating thousands of Cleveland area public school children every year. Tickets: $100 per Garden or Arboretum member and $125 per nonmember and may be purchased at cbgarden.org/goodandevil or by calling 216.707.2819.

Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays: 10am - 5pm
Wednesdays: 10 am - 9 pm
Sundays: Noon – 5pm
Mondays: Closed

Admission:
Adults: $11, Children (3-12) $6, children 2 and under are free, FREE for Botanical Garden and Holden Arboretum members.
