Feb 07, 2017 11:25AM ● By Today's Family
Third, fourth and fifth grade classes at Gross Schechter Day School in pepper Pike are participating in its second annual No Place for Hate workshop, sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League. During the first workshop, students were educated about No Place for Hate and what that truly means for Schechter.

On Friday, February 3, 2017, the third grade class participated in a workshop designed to prepare the students to help support and assist their peers in resolving peer conflict within a school environment. For the remainder of the school year, the students will be asked to commit to a weekly time frame to provide assistance as hall monitors.

The students will also participate in two school-wide projects that will educate all students about Gross Schechter and explore ways maintain a school and community that holds the values of kavod (respect) high. Third grade students will be leading the school in signing a Resolution of Respect to uphold as part of being designated as a No Place for Hate community. This program will enable the students to set an example for one another and maintain a school environment of kavod for all of the Gross Schechter Day School students and their families.
