Founded in 1925, Fish Furniture is a third generation owned store with a reputation for quality furniture and knowledgeable salespeople.

"They don’t make them like they used to,” is something often said of furniture, but at Fish Furniture, you can find the same high-quality pieces that met even your grandparents' standards.

Traditional in all the right ways, the team at Fish Furniture knows the importance of great customer service and solid, well-made furniture that lasts.  This traditional, personalized service is balanced with on-trend designs and all the latest styles.

You'll find trusted youth brands like Universal Furniture, Stone & Leigh, and Archbold Furniture, but also present in the store is Urban Collection, Durham, Hooker, Wesley Hall, Temple and Flexsteel to name a few.  All impeccably put together in an enviable ensemble by their buyer, Kitty Bracey, who is celebrating 25 years at Fish Furniture.

Some of their displays look like you've walked into a real life Pinterest board.  And you can buy them that way.  From the unique painting on the wall to the perfectly coordinating lamp.

“Pinterest has really spurred a lot of very creative room concepts.  People don’t necessarily buy full bedroom sets anymore.  It doesn’t need to be the traditional bed-dresser-mirror-chest set.  They can piece meal to make it work for them in their space,” Kitty says.

“Our team is really well-seasoned.  We've been here for decades and we are family driven.  We have people that can guide you to make the right decisions and put together your dream.  The people here at Fish have the ability to channel that and bring your vision to life," Kitty adds.

Most youth sets are available in multiple color options, and their team can help build the perfect set for your needs.  With creative storage being such a big trend, they also offer lot of innovative solutions, such as built-in bed storage and versatile features.

“One thing a lot of brands are focusing on right now is storage.  Without some structure, you’ve got chaos on your hands,” Kitty says.  “Every piece has a little hidden something.  The chest of drawers may have a rod that pulls out to hang a sweatshirt on or you can find headboards with lights, or a mirror that pulls out to hang jewelry on.”

When it comes to kids furniture, Fish has everything you will need for all ages.  Most of the cribs they offer are convertible, so the back of the crib can transition to a headboard.  And because the brands they carry are so reliable, you can feel confident that it will be able to truly last from toddler to teenage years.  They also offer rockers and gliders that are made at just the right height for nursing.  Gift certificates for expecting parents are a popular way to contribute to a quality nursery.

Fish Furniture even offers a service where one of their in house designers will visit your home and give a personalized recommendation to create your ideal space.  The service is essentially free, as long as a furniture purchase is made from Fish.

"I can never say enough about our salespeople," Kitty goes on about their experience.

With basically zero turnover, many have spent decades at Fish Furniture and are very familiar with trends in furniture—where they've been and where they're going.  We all know the feeling of walking in a store and not having an experienced worker to answer questions.  But at Fish, they have an expert team to educate customers.

“And that speaks a lot to the owner, Dan Geller,” Kitty says.  “He hires the right people who are good at what they do and enjoy doing it. It’s not a high-pressure sales environment where customers feel talked in to more than they need.  The team will guide you to find the right pieces for whatever it is you’re looking for.”

In addition to their seasoned sales team, Fish Furniture boasts an in-house delivery team that they feel is the best in the area.  Team members have been with the company for many years and know how to treat you and your home with respect.  Kitty adds, “We want your entire experience with Fish Furniture to be great from start to finish and that includes delivery.  We get at least three calls per week from customers telling us how awesome our delivery guys are.”
And you can always find some great pieces on sale too.  The best way is to stop by a store and see for yourself what they have to offer.  Their furniture presentation is worth a visit for the décor inspiration alone.

Fish Furniture is located in Mayfield Heights on SOM Center Road in the Eastgate Shopping Center and also located on Lorain Road in North Olmsted.  To learn more or to schedule your design consultation, visit FishFurniture.com.
