Greater Cleveland Food Bank launches 2017 Holiday Campaign

The holiday season proves to be a difficult time for those fighting hunger in our community.  As many look forward to the excitement the holidays bring, our neighbors in need are having to make tough choices. People are making difficult choices between food and utilities or food and medicine.

This holiday season, you can help end hunger now.  Please help us ensure that families and individuals across our community have the nutritious food they need.  Thanks to caring people throughout the area, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank has a variety of ways you can help. Visit GreaterClevelandFoodBank.org/Holidays to get involved.

“I continue to be inspired by the generosity of the people in our community who step up to provide nutritious holiday meals to people in need,” said Kristin Warzocha, president & CEO of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.  “I think of those most vulnerable during the winter- children, senior citizens and those with health challenges and I am grateful that the Food Bank has such tremendous support to ensure they’re taken care of.  It’s a tremendous effort and there is always more work to be done.”

Every $1 donated to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank allows us to provide four nutritious meals.  The easiest way to support the Food Bank’s efforts is through a donation online at www.GreaterClevelandFoodBank.org.  You can also set up a Facebook fundraiser or a virtual drive to get friends and family involved.

The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is the largest hunger relief organization in northeast Ohio, having made possible over 55 million meals in 2016 to hungry people in Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Ashland and Richland counties.
