Make your wellness goals happen at Mentor Heisley Racquet & Fitness Club!

By Laura Lytle

It’s never too late to take action and get moving to meet your personal fitness and wellness goals.  Mentor Heisley Racquet and Fitness Club makes fitness fun for children and adults through sports, swimming, aerobics and yoga classes matched with personal training and positive staff support.

Every membership begins with a personal training consultation to set your goals and create a personal plan of activities to help you accomplish those goals.

“Personal attention for our members helps to set us apart from other athletic clubs.  Our trainers are very hands on and supportive.  They build strong relationships with our members as a support network and friends,” said Emily Harrell, manager of Mentor Heisley Racquet and Fitness Club.

In addition to new weight room equipment, including a treadmill, Stairmaster, rowing machine and cardio strider, members can use the gym and tennis courts anytime.  Tennis tournaments are scheduled for older teens and adults throughout the year while Junior Tennis teaches younger kids the basics.

Membership also includes personal coaching and participation in any classes offered as well as a babysitting center for kids under 7 years old.

“Our babysitting center is very popular among parents that want to work out without guilt.  Children 6 months to 7 years can enjoy playing games, coloring and fun activities while their parents take a class or use the gym.  We want to ensure none of our members have an excuse not to come in and take care of themselves,” added Harrell.

Being fit doesn’t have to be a singular activity.  Boot camps and parties are a great way to get friends and family to join you on your health journey.  Some members have scheduled a fun, one-hour fitness activity as a different kind of ladies night out, bridal shower and business team-building event.  Private yoga and spinning parties are also gaining popularity for ladies' groups and couples nights.

“Boot camps are very motivating for people beyond the support of personal coaches.  The group setting gives you a larger support network to push you to work harder while joking around and having a blast,” said Harrell.

Open seven days a week, anyone interested in seeing all that Mentor Heisley Racquet and Fitness Club has to offer can take a tour.

Affordable membership starts at $67/month for single adult and $50/month for seniors (age 55+). Family memberships and one-on-one personal trainer packages are also offered.   All the classes are FREE with memberships.  For details call (440) 639-2582 or visit www.mentorheisleyfitness.com.  They are located at 6000 Heisley Road in Mentor.
