Pond Dipping Day
Try the hands-on way to see what’s beneath the surface
Standing on dry land, you can kind of see what’s living in the pond. You might spot a few fish or watch a small bug swim by.
But explore the water with a net, digging around in the muck and pulling its contents right up to your eyes, and you’ll find that there’s a whole other world in there – and here’s a great, self-paced opportunity to do just that!
Mark your calendar for Sunday, May 28, to join a Geauga Park District naturalist at Big Creek Park for Pond Dipping Day! Anyone who drops in between 2 and 4 p.m. will be provided with nets, containers and fun meeting the multitude of tiny critters who call Wild Goose Pond home.
All ages are welcome and admission is free without registration.
