Princess & Pirate Aquarium Adventure

With green surf anemones, potbellied seahorses, lionfish and other fascinating and whimsical aquatic creatures, young visitors might feel like they are exploring distant worlds on any given visit to the Greater Cleveland Aquarium.

But on Saturday, May 19 from 6:30 – 9:30 pm children will be encouraged to let their imaginations run wild for a Princess & Pirate Aquarium Adventure. The enchanted evening features a colorful cast of beloved fairy and folktale protagonists including Captain Hook, the Little Mermaid, the Island Princess, the Frog Princess and her prince, the Snow Sisters, Belle and others.

General admission for children (ages 2–12) is $45. Children under the age of 2 are free with advance ticket. Accompanying adults are $25. Donations at the event and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital.

Not only will children be able to talk to and take photos with their favorite “happily ever after” heroes and heroines, but they will also set out on a quest to collect deep sea treasures in their own shell bags, find where “X marks the spot” for a special pirate king jewel, make their own slime or create a “Build a Beach” sand art craft.

General admission includes:

  • After-hours Aquarium admission
  • A meet-and-greet adventure with princesses and pirates
  • Adventure map with shell bag and character giveaways
  • Photo opportunities
  • Sand art craft
  • Make-your-own slime station
  • Pirate and princess temporary tattoos
