Jan 30, 2017 11:27AM ● By Today's Family
The Geauga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (GCBDD), known as the Metzenbaum Center, is hosting its third annual Night to Shine event on Wednesday, March 22 at 6 p.m at the Metzenbaum Center, located at 8200 Cedar Rd. in Chesterland. The event is open to all families who are enrolled in the GCBDD’s Early Intervention (EI) program and are actively receiving services.

There is no fee to participate and all enrolled families with children ages birth to three years are invited to attend. It is a fun opportunity for the children to walk the red carpet as their personalities and accomplishments are announced. Families interested in participating must RSVP by calling 440-729-5250 ext. 1530 by March 6, 2017.

There will be refreshments, a DJ and several door prizes that were donated by community members. The event is held partially in recognition of Developmental Disability Awareness Month and is made possible by donations from the community.

“We are excited to once again host such a fun event,” said Superintendent Don Rice. “It is a wonderful night for our families with young children to come out, socialize and enjoy a red carpet evening.”
