Your next rainy day—or sweltering 95-degree day—escape awaits at Main Event Entertainment in Avon. Their new location recently opened on Chester Road, next to Cabela’s. With 41 locations nationwide, it’s the first in northeast Ohio.
“We are excited to expand into the Cleveland area– our second center in Ohio– and introduce our unique combination of food and fun to everyone in and around Avon,” said Chris Morris, president and CEO of Main Event Entertainment. “Our new entertainment center will provide a destination where families, their guests and colleagues have more fun under one roof than anywhere, rain or shine.”
Main Event, director of marketing, Corey Will says the new Avon location is our “latest prototype, with all of everyone’s favorite activities.” You’ll find state-of-the-art bowling, gravity ropes, laser tag, zip lining, over 100 video and arcade games, billiards and shuffleboard.
In comparison with other entertainment centers, Main Event caters to a younger and more family-centric audience, with their core audience being young families with kids age 7 to 14. Teens and tweens also have a great time at Main Event and of course, even those older “kids at heart” love to hang out to watch or play a game with friends, with and without kids—everyone is welcome.
Main Event offers a chef-inspired casual dining experience, with delicious shareables like wings, loaded nachos, oven-baked artisan pizza and more in a high energy sports bar surrounded by big screen TVs. They pride themselves on their food options, which go beyond the typical bowling alley fare.
Main Event is a fun place to hang out, watch the big game and challenge friends to a game or two. Main Event not only offers a bar, but very modern, hand-made cocktails. Parents can still enjoy a cocktail while the kids have fun, so it’s more than your average kids play center.
Birthday parties at Main Event are a big deal. They have capacity for dozens each day, and have a special area for them called Party Street. “We want the birthday child to feel like king or queen for the day,” Will says. Main Event is consistently ranked the “best place for birthday parties,” thanks to its distinctive “Eat. Bowl. Play.” experience. Main Event’s hassle-free birthday parties are easy for parents and epic for kids with multiple packages and activities offered for all ages, seven days a week.
They also offer fantastic deals such as “Monday Night Madness” where guests from 4 pm – close can receive three specials: all-you-can-play activities, unlimited video game play or a $20 FUN card for just $10.95 each.
Main Event is also a great space for corporate outings, school trips and special events. The center offers fully-equipped private meeting spaces with the latest audio-visual technology, full-service catering, free Wi-Fi and everything else essential to hosting corporate meetings, team-building exercises, holiday parties and other gatherings both large and small.
“People are really shocked at how big the space is. If you watch the families when they come in, you see the kids’ faces and their jaw drops,” Will says.
Getting involved in the community is something that’s really important to Main Event. For example, they just shared the news that they’re partnering locally and nationally with the Special Olympics.
Main Event is open Monday from 10 am to 2 am, Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday from 10 am to midnight, Friday from 10 am to 2 am and Saturday from 9 am to 2 am. For more information visit them online at MainEvent.com
