Create memories through art at Busy Bees Pottery & Arts Studio

By Laura Lytle

Busy Bees Pottery & Arts is now welcoming customers to its new studio located inside the Great Lakes Mall in Mentor.

“It’s very exciting to grow into a bigger space,” said Beth Brinton, owner and art enthusiast. “While the previous studio was a great space, our new space is more accommodating for an art studio and will better meet our customers’ needs as they create their works.  We are able to host larger groups and have a bigger workspace for creative sharing and inspiring ideas.”

“We see a lot of potential for our continued growth and are hoping to engage our customers in larger and more frequent events with our move to the Great Lakes Mall.  There is a lot of synergy between the Mall and our goals.  The new studio will allow us to reach more groups and conduct fundraising events.”

Now open seven days a week, everyone is welcome to walk-in and begin exploring their creative talents.  Art classes for beginners to experienced creatives are hosted weekly for children and adults. No reservations are needed but it is recommended to call ahead for a large party of friends or to confirm a class time.

Offsite classes can also be held for a variety of occasions from school community events to corporate team building.  Some projects are finished that day, while projects that require firing are available for pickup at a later date.

Artists can create projects in several mediums including pottery painting, canvas painting, glass fusing, mosaics, board art, and metal materials based on their own unique design or from suggested templates.  Staff are always there to help guests get started and assist with creating the finished envisioned piece.

Beth added, “Many adults enjoy gathering together for ladies night or date night, where they can relax and de-stress from their day (or week), while creating and painting together whether it be pottery, canvas, stamped jewelry, board art and wine glass/bottle painting.”
“Busy Bees Pottery & Arts Studio projects are not just for girls either, we have ceramics featuring superheroes and men and boys love glass fusion because they get to use tools and build,” she added.
