Families looking for something to do this fall can find a wide variety of fun outdoor ideas in Geauga Park District, featuring fresh air, exercise, adventure, exploration and safe social distance aplenty!

Twenty-five open parks offer more than 70 miles of trails to check out, lined by some of Geauga County’s most stunning landscapes now decked in their autumn colors.
Maybe your family knows what it likes, or maybe it’s game for a new adventure.  Whatever the case, it’s extremely easy to plan a park visit using www.geaugaparkdistrict.org.

Click “parks” to search the parks for your favorite activities, click “activities”  to find which parks feature them, peruse fall programs and events, reserve a facility or campsite, or read about what’s new, like the fall scavenger hunt and Big Creek Park’s new mountain biking and “tree house” camping.

Given the year we’ve all had, Geauga Park District has also introduced some virtual programs to its lineup, which can be found by clicking “programs & events”  and using the program type filter function. Neat videos featuring native flora and fauna are consistently uploaded to its YouTube page, too.

Most programs and events this year require registration, online or by phone, due to group size restrictions, enabling us all to stay safe while enjoying our parks together. Face coverings are always required indoors, and are required outdoors whenever six-feet distance cannot be maintained.  But park visitation remains available at your leisure and absolutely free.  We hope to see you in the parks this fall!
