Summer reading starting at Mentor Public Library
Mentor Public Library is celebrating both the start of summer reading and the return of in-person outdoor programming this June.
Once again, kids, teens and adults can win spectacular prizes from Mentor Public Library for reading this summer. Kids (those entering sixth grade or younger) can earn a raffle ticket for every hour they read or are read to. The more they read, the better chance they have to win one of the library’s prizes.
Kids who read at least 20 hours during summer reading will also earn a golden ticket and a chance to win a $50 gift card to Target.
Summer reading starts Friday, June 4. Patrons can sign up at any of Mentor Public Library’s branches.
This year’s theme is Imagine Your Story and the library is hosting programs all summer long about fairy tales, myths and magic. Some will be hosted online via Zoom, while others will be held in person outside at the library’s branches.
Additionally, Mentor Public Library is once again hosting story times daily outside at one of its branches. Visit www.mentorpl.org to see which story times best fit your family’s schedule. Registration is required for all programs before attending.
People can sign up for both in-person or online programs at www.mentorpl.org or by calling the library at (440) 255-8811.
