Free professional arts performances for families every month in 2023

The Children’s Museum of Cleveland (CMC) is bringing big acts to the small stage through their CMC Center Stage series!  This program provides the region's youngest learners with early exposure to the arts in an approachable environment, with a series of mini performances designed to engage children ages 0–8.

Beginning in 2019, CMC Center Stage has welcomed countless groups including North Pointe Ballet, Talespinner Children’s Theatre, and OPUS 216 to the stage to delight audiences with vibrant and interactive performances.  The Museum is excited to announce that this program is growing, offering performances each month throughout 2023.

CMC works alongside arts groups to modify performances for an early childhood audience, promoting interactive elements that create an engaging experience for young children.  The program is held in the Museum’s Theater exhibit, offering performances by local theater, music, and dance groups showcasing different cultures and artistic practices. Floor seating accommodates the wiggliest of wigglers, and a family-friendly audience provides a space where giggling, dancing, and engaging with the art are both welcomed and encouraged.

The CMC Center Stage winter calendar includes performances by Abrepaso Flamenco, OPUS 216, Mojuba! Dance Collective, and Dancing Wheels Company, with many more performances to be announced throughout the year.  All performances through this program are free with general admission, access program admission, and CMC membership.
