Fairport Library Receives Grant for Youth Literacy from Dollar General
Fairport Harbor Public Library has been selected by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation to receive a $ 3,000 grant for youth literacy. The Youth Literacy grant program provides funding to help students who are below grade level or having trouble. The Library will use the grant funds to purchase new early reader and children’s non-fiction books for the library collection.
The library is extremely grateful for the generosity and support of the Dollar General Literacy Foundation. The Foundation awarded nearly $2.6 million to support over 600 schools, libraries, and nonprofit organizations as it celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2023. A complete list of grant recipients is available online at www.dgliteracy.org.
Stop by the library soon to borrow some of these wonderful new books for children!
