Greater Cleveland Food Bank launches Summer Feeding For All

Summer can be a difficult time for children who rely on school meals to supplement their nutrition. The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is pleased to launch its annual Summer Feeding Program with several locations starting June 3 and several more starting in the next couple of weeks. The Food Bank will provide food to 128 sites in all six counties we serve. We expect to serve more than 5,500 children this summer.

During the summer months, The Greater Cleveland Food Bank delivers daily nutritious breakfasts and lunches to 120+ partner sites that serve the meals to children when school is not in session. Sites include schools, camps, parks, playgrounds, community centers, churches, and other public sites where children gather in the summer.

Many of the children that participate in Summer Feeding are the same children who rely on the school breakfast and lunch programs during the school year.

Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meal times and locations may change. To find the site closest to you, please call 216.738.7239, or visit www.GreaterClevelandFoodBank.org/SummerMeals.
