The Fine Arts Association presents Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville

The Fine Arts Association (FAA) is excited to present the musical comedy Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville. The production opens on Friday, June 6 and continues through Sunday, June 22, 2025.
On opening night, June 6, all are invited to attend a free preshow party and enjoy FAA’s island spirit. Beginning at 5:00 p.m., tropical music will get you in the mood for the cheeseburgers, margaritas, and cold beer available for purchase. Slip on Caribbean attire and check out the great items in the Parrot Head raffle. Valued at over $700, the treasure chest includes a Yeti tundra cooler stocked with Landshark Lager, a backyard hammock, a nostalgia margarita machine, and much more. The party concludes at 7:00 p.m. A theater ticket is not necessary to attend the party, and you can enter the raffle online by visiting FAA’s Facebook page. You do not need to be present to win.
The production of Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville features the most-loved Jimmy Buffett classics, including “Cheeseburger in Paradise”, “Margaritaville,” “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” “Fins,” “Volcano,” and many more. The plot revolves around a part-time bartender and singer who falls for a career-minded tourist.
With a book by Emmy Award winner Greg Garcia (“My Name is Earl,” “Raising Hope”) and Emmy nominee Mike O’Malley (“Survivor’s Remorse,” “Shameless”), this hilarious, heartwarming musical is the summer party we’ve all been waiting for!
“The beauty of this production Is that it doesn’t take itself too seriously,” says David Malinowski, The Roger and Anne Clapp Chair of Performing Arts. “It’s a funny, nonsensical story dreamed up just to integrate as many Jimmy Buffett songs as possible. We sincerely expect the Parrot Heads out there to show up, sing along, and join us for the June 6 preshow party.”
