Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity approaches a historic milestone—its 100th home
To help raise the $240,000 needed to complete the 100 Homes Campaign, the family of Barbara and Paul Kiebler has made a remarkable gift to Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity by donating their parents’ timeshare condo in the Grand Cayman Islands. The property, located at the beautiful Morritt’s Tortuga Club, will be auctioned off with proceeds directly supporting Habitat’s mission to build safe, affordable housing for local families.
The silent auction opened on October 9 and closes December 15, with a starting bid of $1,500. The winning bidder will become the proud new owner of this tropical retreat—while also helping build brighter futures for families in Lake and Geauga counties. A U.S. Army veteran, Chardon Village council member, and co-chair of the Geauga County American Heart Association, Paul’s warmth, integrity, and community spirit left a lasting legacy.
“We’re deeply grateful to the Kiebler family for this extraordinary gift in memory of their parents,” said Chad Collins, executive director of Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity. “Barbara and Paul’s lives reflected a deep commitment to building community and giving back. Through this auction, their legacy will continue to open doors for families in need of safe, affordable housing.”
