Winter Wonder Weekends return to Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
The Winter Wonder Weekends experience returns to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo with heated shuttle service through the Zoo, free carousel rides and special programming and keeper chats each weekend. The event takes place Fridays through Sundays, now through March 8. The added amenities are designed to enhance the guest experience through the colder months.
To help connect guests to indoor areas and experiences across the Zoo, the “Zoo Loop” is again operating with heated shuttle service and added weekend stops across Zoo grounds, including at the Welcome Plaza, African Elephant Crossing, African Savanna, Wilderness Trek, Circle of Wildlife Carousel, Primate, Cat & Aquatics and Australian Adventure.
Ahead of each weekend throughout Winter Wonder Weekends, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo will announce a new series of exclusive opportunities including guided walks in Wilderness Trek, elephant baths at African Elephant Crossing, scavenger hunts and more. Each weekend will also have special keeper chats where guests can learn more about what it takes to care for wildlife around the world including tigers, koalas, primates and pinnipeds. The weekend experience also includes discounts on hot chocolate and pretzels, and free rides on the heated Circle of Wildlife Carousel.
Winter Wonder Weekends will also include family-friendly crafts and activities, including a Stuffed Animal Clinic presented by MetroHealth, story time at Wolf Lodge and more.
