Local fair brings together mental health, academic, and disability support under one roof
The Eastern Cuyahoga County Resource Fair will take place on Tuesday, March 31, from 6–8 p.m. at Cuyahoga Community College’s Eastern Campus Student Services Building, located at 4250 Richmond Road in Highland Hills. Designed for families of children and young adults ages 0–22, the fair connects those experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, academic struggles, developmental delays, or disabilities with valuable local resources.
One of the largest resource fairs in Northeast Ohio, the event brings together more than 70 providers, including county agencies, community organizations, and specialty-trained professionals. A December 2025 study by the Health Policy Institute of Ohio found that 75 of Ohio’s 88 counties—including Cuyahoga—face shortages of mental health professionals, making access to care especially challenging for many families.
Resource fairs offer a convenient “one-stop shop,” allowing families to meet providers face-to-face, discuss insurance and services, and explore program options in one location. This personal interaction helps parents determine which supports may be the best fit for their child, saving time and reducing stress.
Families will find assistance for mental health concerns, academic issues, and disabilities or developmental delays, including access to therapists, tutors, educational advocates, adapted recreation programs, and transition services.
Connecting for Kids will staff an information table at the entrance to help families navigate available services. Limited-time visitors may also use the drive-up “grab-and-go” option.
Families who preregister and attend will be entered to win a $100 Amazon gift card. The first 100 families to visit the Connecting for Kids table will receive a free stuffed animal.
