Cuyahoga DD sponsors Cleveland International Film Festival relaxed screening

In partnership with the Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF), the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Cuyahoga DD) will sponsor a relaxed screening of family friendly films at the Allen Theater at Playhouse Square.

- ASL interpretation
- Assistive listening devices
- Calming space in the lobby
- Fidget and noise-cancelling headphones available
- House lights in the theater are left on low
- Lower sound level or advance notice for startling or loud sounds
- Judgment-free zone
- Guests may talk, leave their seats, and move freely during the performance
- Theater doors will stay open
Sensory kits and other information will be available at a staffed table in the Allen Theater lobby. Cuyahoga DD staff and trained volunteers will also help audience members with way-finding and other needs.
Cuyahoga DD has already distributed 300 relaxed screening tickets to people served. CIFF attendees can save $1/ticket for designated CIFF films with this code: CCBDD.
