Greater Cleveland Aquarium’s annual Halloween celebration returns this October with Pumpkins & Piranhas, an after-hours event featuring creatures from Lake “Eeeerie” and the deep “boo” sea.

The event takes place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 23, 24 and 30, with a members-only night Oct. 22 and a sensory-friendly evening Oct. 25.

Admission includes full Aquarium access along with Halloween-themed activities throughout the galleries. Guests can see underwater jack-o’-lanterns, skeletons and seasonal décor, interact with costumed scuba divers and enjoy animal encounters. Children can also take part in crafts and activities and receive temporary tattoos and take-home treat bags.

Guests of all ages are encouraged to wear family-friendly costumes that do not obstruct their vision. Since the celebration takes place indoors, families can enjoy Halloween fun without worrying about cold temperatures, rain or squeezing costumes over winter coats.

Greater Cleveland Aquarium is a KultureCity Sensory Inclusive-certified venue. During Sensory Friendly Sunday on Oct. 25, attendance and noise levels will be reduced and lighting softened to create a more comfortable environment for guests who may be sensitive to external stimuli.

Advance tickets are strongly encouraged. 

Admission is $19.95 for adults ages 13 and older, $18.95 for children ages 2–12, and free for children younger than 2.
