The Miracle on Erie Street 5K returns to historic Downtown Willoughby on Saturday, Dec. 5, bringing runners, walkers and families together for a festive event benefiting Erie Street Miracles.

The race begins at 11 a.m. and includes a professionally managed 5K course as well as a 1-mile walk for those who prefer a shorter route. Participants can also enjoy appearances by Santa and Krampus, family-friendly activities and a holiday atmosphere throughout downtown.

Following the race, registered participants can use two complimentary drink tickets at participating Downtown Willoughby bars and restaurants.

Proceeds from registration fees, sponsorships and donations benefit Erie Street Miracles, which helps create memorable Christmas mornings for families in need throughout Northeast Ohio.

“Miracle on Erie Street represents more than just a race,” says race organizer John Tomaselli. “It is an opportunity for people to come together, celebrate the season and make a real impact on the lives of others.”

Registered participants will receive commemorative race shirts, with finisher medals and age-group awards also presented. Local vendors and community organizations will be part of the day’s activities.

Runners can compete for a personal best, families can walk the course together or participants can simply enjoy a festive morning while supporting a local cause.
