The Opiate/Heroin Epidemic in Our Own Backyard

Opiate and heroin abuse and addiction are at alarming levels – here in Lake County and across Ohio. Mentor Schools has teamed up with experts from several local agencies to host this informational meeting to raise awareness and work together toward finding a solution regarding the opioid epidemic in our community. The meeting, will feature different perspectives from the ADAHMS Board, Crossroads, a representative with the Lake County Health Department, Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers, and the Mentor Police and Mentor Fire departments, and will share a variety of different perspectives and information about resources. The event will include breakout sessions, where participants can choose a topic that most interests them, such as: Treatment Options, Grief and Loss, Lessons of Hope and Recovery, Warning Signs for Parents, a youth session with Crossroads and more. Everyone is welcome to attend, including students at their parent's discretion.
