Community Carnival

The Geauga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (GCBDD) is hosting a Community Carnival on Saturday, March 4 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The carnival is an entirely free event and everyone in the community is welcome to attend. The carnival is part of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, which is celebrated throughout the month of March. In addition to the carnival, the board has scheduled several events and performances to help raise awareness for the individuals that the GCBDD helps to live, learn and earn in the community. During the carnival, attendees can enjoy free food, games and the chance to win prizes. Residents of all ages are welcome. Volunteers are still needed for the event. To sign up to volunteer, contact Janice Chesnes at [email protected]. “We are very excited to host our second annual Community Carnival to kick off Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month,” said Superintendent Don Rice. “It is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come to the GCBDD and have a free day of family fun.” For more information about the GCBDD, visit www.geaugadd.org.
