Hauntaquarium

A family-friendly pirate party at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium

If you and your family are looking to swap the scares for sharks, stingrays and seahorses this Halloween, look no further than Captain NEO’s Hauntaquarium, the Greater Cleveland Aquarium’s annual pirate-themed celebration.

The event includes exclusive after-hours access to the entire Aquarium as well as a boatload of activities—a safe trick-or-treat trail, a walkable gangplank, animal encounters, five-minute science experiments and even a DJ dance party.

“We’re pulling out all the stops for this pirate party,” says Aquarium Director of Education and Interpretation Erin Bauer. “With so many exciting activities and amazing aquatic life to explore, there’s something even ‘landlubbers’ will enjoy at this safe, warm, and dry event.”

The Aquarium’s fearless seafaring Captain NEO will of course be making an appearance, and joining him throughout the night are balloon artists, face painters, a magician and the Aquarium’s very own “land shark” Finn. “You’re sure to find me spinning a tall tale or two and busting a few moves out on the dance floor,” says the Captain.

With such a wide variety of things to do, including all the fascinating marine life the Aquarium has to offer, there’s sure to be something for everyone at Hauntaquarium — and just like the event itself, the price won’t scare you away.

General admission tickets are $12 per person, and only $10 if you’re a Greater Cleveland Aquarium Annual Passholder. Visit www.greatercleveland aquarium.com for more information.
