Holden Arboretum’s Annual Pancake Breakfast
Holden Arboretum’s annual spring pancake breakfast returns on Saturday and Sunday, March 30 & 31.
New this year, the interactive Art in the Science of Maple Sap exhibit created by Holden Forests & Gardens’ staff and volunteers will be on display in the building adjacent to the Corning Visitor Center. Using print, fabric, sculptural, and mixed media, artworks in this new maple sap exhibit will connect visitors to the beauty of the biological world and the scientific mysteries of sap flow being studied in the research department at Holden Forests & Gardens. Exhibits include a working model of a sugar maple tree created with LED lights and shadowboxes exploring the history and future of scientific studies on sap. Activities such as a sap flow physiology and forest ecology discovery station and guided tours to discover the many syrup producing tree species in the Arboretum plant collections will also be offered.
Guests are invited to explore the grounds on an optional guided hike and then relax over a pancake breakfast. This year’s breakfast menu includes unlimited multigrain, blueberry, regular, gluten-free and chocolate chip pancakes, as well as traditional breakfast sides. Additional menu items are available for Friday’s members-only dinner.
Breakfast is available from 9 am – 1 pm with seating times every 45 minutes. Tickets for Saturday or Sunday are $11 for member adults, $6 for member children, $18 for nonmember adults and $10 nonmember children. Advance reservations are required.
Visit holdenarb.org or call 440.946.4400 ext. 224 for reservations. Tickets are on sale through March 27.
