St. Gabriel School’s Performing Arts Club presents Sound of Music, jr. on Thursday, April 11 at 7:00 pm and Saturday, April 13 at 7:00 pm. The play is in the Fr. Pahler Center at St. Gabriel School and tickets are available at the door.  Adults are $6.00 and students are $4.00. Mrs. Andrea Karpuszka and Mrs. Michelle Kuch are the directors and will lead the students through this wonderful production!

The cast and crew are very excited to perform! Carley DeRespiris (Maria) shares, “The role of Maria is challenging. She is a very complex woman and she is in love with music. That is how she brings joy to the Von Trapp family. Maria is kind, thoughtful and always wants people to be happy. I hope to bring joy to all when I sing for the audience The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Music."

Captain Von Trapp is played by Connor MacDonald who stated, "Being a part of the school performance has brought me new self-confidence, new friends, fun times, and memories to hold forever.  The Sound of Music is such an amazing production and being blessed enough to partake in it has been absolutely outstanding. My fellow peers and I have worked hard and are looking forward to opening night."

This year’s show is definitely one worth seeing!” said Cameryn Brandetsas, who plays the part of Liesl Von Trapp. We sincerely hope the community will come to support and enjoy these young thespians as they share their talent in Sound of Music, jr.!
