Great American Smokeout

Lake County General Health District (LCGHD) will be at Lakeland Community College to promote the Great American Smokeout on November 21, 2019. Health Educators will be on hand with information and quitting resources to support the event. The Great American Smokeout is sponsored by The American Cancer Society, and occurs annually on the third Thursday of November as a day of encouragement for tobacco users to make a quit plan.

LCGHD encourages those interested in quitting to begin the journey to a smoke-free life by taking a first step and making their plan to quit. Being smoke-free can lead to a better quality of life for you, and also for the family, children, friends, and pets in your life that can be affected by second and third-hand smoke.

To learn more about how LCGHD can support your efforts to quit, please call 440-350-2464, or visit our website at www.lcghd.org.
