Fairmount Center for the Arts, a non-profit community center for the arts, is pleased to announce “LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!”, an On-Camera Commercial Acting Workshop with Marc Moritz and Charles St. Clair!

Fairmount Center for the Arts, a non-profit community center for the arts, is pleased to announce “LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!”, an On-Camera Commercial Acting Workshop! The workshop will be held on August 7th, 2021, from 10AM - 12PM at the Fairmount Center for the Arts (8400 Fairmount Road, Novelty). This workshop is designed for adults and teens ages 16 years and up and there is a $35 fee to attend and pre-registration is required.


This fun and informative workshop is geared to the beginner/ intermediate performer, and will cover the basics of what you need to provide a solid, smart, and unique audition. Fairmount alumni Marc Moritz & Charles St. Clair, both accomplished actors and directors, will cover commercial acting techniques, making bold acting choices, preparing sides, handling callbacks, self-taping, and include opportunities to practice these skills with mock auditions.


MARC MORITZ (AEA) Actor. Director. Arts Educator. Marc is a proud alumnus of Fairmount Center (having started there in the 70’s!). He originated the role of Talk Show Host in the original Broadway production of the Sondheim/Prince musical Merrily We Roll Along and has worked in dozens of theaters across the country.


CHARLES ST. CLAIR (SAG, AFTRA, AEA,) Charles is a long time Fairmount Center alumnus. An Interdisciplinary Artist with more "With These Hands” an Emmy Award-winning special for NBC affiliate WKYC “Beauty and the Beast” a three-time Emmy Award-winning special for PBS affiliate WVIZ, which he co-authored, produced and directed. Mr. St. Clair co-founded the Fairmount Theatre of the Deaf (F.T.D.), as artistic director, under his direction, F.T.D. toured the United States and Canada as well as appearing twice at New York, Lincoln Center Theatre Festival. He is also a five-time “AriZoni” award-winning director.
